Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and role (buyer, seller, employer, or job seeker).
  • Verification information: for sellers applying for approval, this may include business name, identification documents, and other details needed to verify your identity or business.
  • Marketplace data: listings you create, messages exchanged with other users, and transaction-related details.
  • Jobs board data: job postings, seeker profiles, resumes/CVs, cover letters, and job applications.
  • Payment data: when you make a payment, our payment processor, Paystack, collects and processes your card or bank details directly. We do not store your full payment card details; we may receive limited transaction metadata (such as payment status and reference) from Paystack.
  • Usage data: log data, device information, IP address, and how you interact with the Platform, collected automatically.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to:

  • create and maintain your account and verify seller applications;
  • operate the marketplace and jobs board, including displaying listings, job posts, and profiles to other users as relevant to the Platform’s function;
  • process payments through Paystack;
  • communicate with you about your account, transactions, applications, and updates to the Platform;
  • maintain the security of the Platform and detect fraud or abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations under Nigerian law.

How We Share Information

We share personal data only as necessary, including with:

  • Other users:information relevant to your role is visible to counterparties as needed — for example, a seller’s listing and contact details are visible to interested buyers, and a job seeker’s application is visible to the employer they applied to.
  • Paystack:for processing payments, subject to Paystack’s own privacy policy.
  • Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, and other providers who help us operate the Platform, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulators and authorities: where required by Nigerian law or in connection with a legal process.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal or legitimate business retention needs;
  • object to or restrict certain processing; and
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior processing.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on the Platform.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Platform functionality.

International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take steps required under the NDPA to ensure an adequate level of protection for transferred data, such as relying on providers with appropriate safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Platform with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
